Saint Sava Cathedral, a landmark of Belgrade, Serbia, is the world's third largest Orthodox building. Built on the site where the holy relics of Saint Sava were desecrated by Ottoman rulers in 1594, it is still under construction. The work began in 1935, but has been repeatedly interrupted by wars in the region.
