The 14th Century Decani Monastery, outside of Pec (Peja), Kosovo, was founded in 1327 by Tsar Stefan Decanski, who is buried there. According to the monks his body is still not decayed, which is the hallmark of a saint. The monastery, protected by UNESCO and heavily guarded by KFOR forces, is famous for its magnificent and nearly completely preserved frescoes from 1350.
